My art mentor wanted me to do something bold and colorful as I have been painting more muted tones lately. I love birds so a colorful parrot was an easy choice. He did turn our looking quite happy:)

As a painter, I love to create art that uplifts my audience and brightens their day with positivity, smile and feeling of joy. I love to travel. Seeing beautiful sights and exploring new places spark my artistic inspiration. To capture those priceless moments, I sketch on location and take many, many reference photos, then I finish the work in my studio. I work fast because I like the spontaneity that my free hand gives to the finished painting. However, I always spend quite some time on planning out the artwork and sketching multiple drafts before I start working on the finished piece.
